Achieving Gender Equality through Feminist Grantmaking: the Women's Funds Model

Made possible with the financial support of Erasmus+ on behalf of Women’s Funds Europe, part of Prospera - International Network of Women’s Funds, and written by Weisblatt & Associés, it draws on the experiences of 13 Women's Funds in 11 countries and includes 16 case studies and 8 recommendations for bolstering a culture of feminist philanthropy to maximise results across Europe. The report was launched on Jan 24, 2023 at the panel event “Mobilising Funding for the Feminist Movements through Women’s Funds," hosted at the European Parliament by Maria Noichl, MEP, Coordinator of the Committee on Women’s Rights and Gender Equality (FEMM). Frontline organisations partner with the Alliance to fight against gender-based violence

Serving Individuals, Strengthening Communities: Learnings from Yesod’s First Three Years
Released September 2020 Download highlights here Weisblatt & Associés researched, wrote and produced an evaluation of Yesod, a collaborative framework focusing on strengthening the future of Jewish life in Europe through a mix of seminars, funds and resources. The ensuing highlight document, “Serving Individuals, Strengthening Communities: Learnings From Yesod’s First Three Years” assesses the impact of Yesod’s programming on participating educators and community leaders. Yesod is supported by a donor partnership between the Rothschild Foundation Hanadiv Europe, the Schusterman Family Foundation and the JDC. |
Knocking on EU’s Door: An Exploration of EU Funding for Gender Equality
Released July 2020 Download full report here Written by Karen Weisblatt and Pascale Charhon on behalf of Women’s Funds Europe (WFE), an initiative of Prospera, International Network of Women’s Funds, the report examines how much money is available at the EU-level for gender equality, who benefits from it, and how women’s funds can increase their share in the future. The report draws on 25 confidential interviews with leaders from women’s funds, representatives of EU agencies, advisors to multilaterals and foundations, directors of European networks, human rights specialists and a diverse sampling of philanthropy and NGO professionals. In addition, 23 representatives from European Institutions provided detailed information for an in-depth look at the state of EU funding for gender equality. |

Untapped Potential, European Foundation Funding for Women and Girls

Altogether, 145 foundations from 19 countries participated in the study. The report was commissioned by Mama Cash and co-authored by the Foundation Center and Weisblatt & Associés, in cooperation with the European Foundation Centre. Evaluating MIPEX III
November 2011 An evaluation of The Migrant Integration Policy Index (MIPEX) for the period of 2010 to mid-2011, known as MIPEX III. The evaluation was conducted in two parts. Part I is a quantitative analysis of MIPEX's online and offline reach. Part II is a qualitative assessment conducted by external consultant Karen Weisblatt of Weisblatt & Associés via 37 confidential interviews with key policy actors and partners in the field of migrant integration.
